BarBeast grew out of a lifetime in hospitality.
Twinkie was raised in a family where gatherings, food, and entertainment were simply part of life. Family parties meant big tables, full houses, and everyone pitching in. Long before working in the industry professionally, she and her sisters were already clearing plates and “pre-bussing” tables at family gatherings—before they even knew there was a term for it.
Her professional path began as a cocktail waitress, first working in a local neighborhood bar where she quickly fell in love with the energy of hospitality. Many of her years in the industry were spent bartending, a role she remains deeply passionate about. For Twinkie, bartending has always been about more than drinks. It’s about the human side of hospitality—reading a room, connecting with people, and creating a space where guests feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for.
That hands-on experience eventually expanded into years of bar and restaurant management, where she developed a deeper understanding of how hospitality operates behind the scenes. Through every role, one principle remained constant: great hospitality begins with great customer service.
Her career has also taken her into the world of fine wine and spirits distribution, where she works closely with restaurants, retailers, and hospitality professionals on beverage programs, product education, and tasting events. She holds a Level 2 in Wine certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and brings that depth of beverage knowledge into the work she does today.
Her work in beverage education, wine tastings, and hospitality training has also made her a trusted resource for industry professionals across Hawaiʻi Island.
Just as important is the ability to anticipate problems before they reach the guest experience. In hospitality, the best service often happens quietly in the background—adjusting, preparing, and solving things before guests even notice there was something to solve.
BarBeast is built on that mindset.
Today Twinkie brings decades of real-world hospitality experience into the events and beverage world, approaching each project with the same perspective she developed on the floor of busy restaurants and behind active bars: thoughtful preparation, strong service standards, and an instinct for keeping the experience running smoothly from the guest’s point of view.
Based on Hawaiʻi Island, BarBeast works with clients who want the beverage side of their event to feel intentional, welcoming, and grounded in genuine hospitality.
