Practical Beverage Strategy, Built for Real Service
A strong beverage program should do more than look good on a menu—it should work consistently, support your team, and make sense for your business.
BarBeast offers consulting rooted in real hospitality experience, shaped by years in bartending, bar and restaurant management, and working closely with beverage programs across Hawaiʻi Island.
The focus is simple: create something that works in real life, not just on paper.
Who This Is For
• Restaurants opening or refining their beverage program
• Bars looking to update or streamline menus
• Concepts that want a more cohesive identity behind the bar
• Teams that need training, structure, or direction
• Owners who want their beverage program to perform better
Why It Matters
A beverage program should support both the guest experience and the business behind it.
Menus that are too complex, poorly structured, or mismatched to the concept can slow down service, confuse staff, and limit profitability.
The goal is to create something that feels intentional to the guest, manageable for the team, and aligned with the business.
What This Looks Like
Consulting is tailored to your business, whether you’re building something new or refining what you already have.
This can include:
• Wine list development and refinement
• Cocktail menu direction and structure
• Product selection aligned with concept, pricing, and clientele
• Identifying gaps, redundancies, or missed opportunities in current offerings
• Seasonal updates and menu refreshes
• Staff training and product education. Empowering staff with tools and knowledge to sell confidently.
• Guidance on execution, workflow, and service efficiency
Where BarBeast Adds Value
BarBeast approaches consulting with a hospitality-first mindset and an operational lens.
That means:
• Recommendations that your team can realistically execute
• A focus on service flow, not just product selection
• Attention to how guests experience your menu in real time
• Anticipating challenges before they show up during service
Built From Experience
This work is informed by a combination of hands-on hospitality and industry perspective.
Years spent bartending and managing bars and restaurants built a strong understanding of service flow, staff capabilities, and what actually works during a busy shift.
That experience is complemented by work in fine wine and spirits distribution, collaborating with restaurants, retailers, and hospitality teams on beverage programs, product education, and market trends.
Twinkie holds a Level 2 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and regularly conducts tastings and trainings, bringing both technical knowledge and real-world application into every project.
